A World of Andean Symbol, Packed Into One Pendant

This extraordinary round pendant is a dense tapestry of Andean geometric motifs — handcrafted in Peru using traditional inlay techniques passed down through generations. At the center sits a Chakana (Andean cross) with a sodalite frame, an orange spiny oyster shell triangle, and a white mother of pearl circle at its heart. Radiating outward, the disc is filled with a vivid mosaic of triangles, diamonds, stepped forms, zigzags, and abstract shapes in red, orange, and purple spiny oyster shell, white and gold mother of pearl, sodalite, and chrysocolla — every section a different stone, every angle intentional. The bail is accented with red spiny oyster shell. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, shaped from solid sterling silver 950.

Materials

  • Red spiny oyster shell — bold warm sections throughout the mosaic and bail accent
  • Orange spiny oyster shell — central triangle and mosaic sections
  • Purple spiny oyster shell — deep violet mosaic sections
  • Sodalite — Chakana frame and mosaic sections
  • White mother of pearl — central circle and mosaic sections
  • Gold mother of pearl — warm golden mosaic sections
  • Chrysocolla — teal-green mosaic accents
  • Sterling silver 950 — higher purity than standard sterling, for a brighter, more refined finish

Dimensions

  • Length: 2 7/16 inches (from bail)
  • Width: 1 15/16 inches

Pendant only — chain not included. Because each pendant is handmade, slight natural variations in stone color and pattern make every piece uniquely yours.
