The Sacred Cross, Crafted by Hand

This stunning Chakana pendant is a wearable work of art — handcrafted in Peru using traditional inlay techniques passed down through generations. The Chakana, or Andean stepped cross, is one of the most sacred symbols in Incan cosmology — representing the three worlds of the cosmos, the four cardinal directions, and the cycle of life. Here it is set within a circle of natural stone, framed by a diamond-oriented square with chrysocolla corners and a matching chrysocolla bail. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, shaped from solid sterling silver 950.

Materials

  • Chrysocolla — rich teal-green forming the square corners, center diamond, and bail accent
  • Orange spiny oyster shell — vibrant warm tones in the Chakana cross arms
  • Sodalite — deep blue sections completing the cross pattern
  • White mother of pearl — soft, luminous background framing the Chakana within the circle
  • Sterling silver 950 — higher purity than standard sterling, for a brighter, more refined finish

Dimensions

  • Length: 1 1/4 inches (from bail)
  • Width: 11/16 inch

Pendant only — chain not included. Because each pendant is handmade, slight natural variations in stone color and pattern make every piece uniquely yours.
